Obstructive sleep apnea is a common sleep disorder characterized by pauses in breathing or shallow breaths during sleep due to the relaxation of throat muscles, which obstructs the airway. This interruption in breathing can lead to fragmented sleep, daytime fatigue, and even serious health consequences if left untreated.

While continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) therapy is considered the gold standard treatment for sleep apnea, we recognize that it may not be suitable for everyone. That’s where we come in. Our goal is to provide effective alternatives for patients who find CPAP therapy intolerable or challenging to use consistently. Our approach involves close collaboration with your sleep physician to ensure that the treatment aligns with your specific needs and medical history. We believe in a personalized approach to care, tailoring each treatment plan to the individual patient.

We offer comfortable and custom-designed sleep apnea appliances, also known as oral appliances or mandibular (jaw) advancement devices. These appliances are worn during sleep and work by gently repositioning the jaw to open and prevent airway obstruction and promote unobstructed breathing throughout the night.

To enhance your experience in our office, we utilize state-of-the-art technology, including computer intraoral scanning, which eliminates the need for traditional gooey impressions. This advanced method ensures precision and comfort when creating your custom appliance, enhancing your overall treatment experience and getting you sleeping better in a matter of weeks.

Our patients have reported how small and comfortable the appliance is while being extremely effective in giving them improvement in their sleep. They report how much more energy they have throughout the day and feel the daytime brain “fog” and sleepiness has lifted. We commonly hear our patients describe their treatment results as “life changing”.

If you’re struggling with snoring or sleep apnea and seeking an alternative to CPAP therapy, we’re here to help. Contact us today to schedule a consultation and take the first step toward a better night’s sleep and improved overall health.

Patient Review

I was recommended to you by a friend and pulmonary NP for sleep apnea appliance. During the examination the uneven lower front teeth were talked about. Dr Weierbach explained cosmetic countouring to me. I decided to have it done! I was amazed that a simple procedure could make such a visable difference to my smile. So sad that for a long time when out in public a mask had to be worn and smiles not seen!! I am very happy for sleep apnea appliance and even front lower teeth! Thank you

I was referred to Dr. Weierbach for a sleep apnea mouth guard. Everyone in the office was very friendly. They took the time to explain how the device worked and answered my questions well. It's been so nice to be able to sleep without a c-pap!

I have been a patient of Dr. Weierbach for over two years being treated with a mouth appliance for sleep apnea. Dr. Weierbach and his staff are so welcoming, friendly, and professional. The office is attractive and very clean. I feel very comfortable when I walk through the door being greeted by the friendly staff. My mouth appliance works very well and it is comfortable to wear all night. I highly recommend Dr. Weierbach to anyone who is searching for a wonderful specialty dentist. You will not be disappointed!
