Full Mouth Reconstruction FAQs

Frequently Asked Full Mouth Reconstruction Questions in Lancaster PA

WHAT IS A FULL MOUTH RECONSTRUCTION?

That’s a simple question for a complex treatment! Missing, cracked, worn, and chipped teeth are just a few of the problems that can negatively affect appearance and overall function and wellbeing. When it comes to the point that all the teeth in the upper and lower jaws need attention, a full mouth reconstruction may be the best solution.

At Weierbach & Genetti Prosthodontics, we combine the art of esthetics with the science of restorative dentistry to improve function, health, and beauty in a person’s mouth. The pairing of art and science is Dr. Genetti’s and Dr. Weierbach’s passion, and they share this strong fervor with fellow colleagues as well as dental students. Our team rebuilds and restores with meticulous care what has been lost due to decay, wear, tooth loss, or bone loss. Our goal is a healthy, comfortable, and functional result that will last a lifetime.

WHAT TYPES OF TREATMENT COMPRISE A FULL MOUTH RECONSTRUCTION?

When it comes to full mouth reconstruction, there is no set formula of required dental services. We know that every patient is unique, so during your consultation, Dr. Genetti or Dr. Weierbach thoroughly examines your oral health, needs, and goals to determine the best combination of procedures for you. These modalities include porcelain crowns, porcelain veneers (laminates), ceramic onlays, dental implants and implant crowns, full arch removable or fixed implant prostheses, partial dentures, and full dentures. Our philosophy is to be as conservative as possible while providing you with a restoration that will last over time.

Our dental laboratories in New York, California, and Minnesota are among the most reputable in the country, and therefore, our restorations are esthetically pleasing and fit precisely. Please go to our before and after gallery which features photographs of the various restorations often included in a reconstruction.

WILL YOU GIVE ME OPTIONS?

We take informed consent very seriously. Once we have performed a thorough examination and have completed diagnostic tests, Drs. Genetti or Weierbach will present you with a complete review of your condition and discuss treatment options at your consultation appointment. We schedule ample time for patient education because we believe that your thorough understanding is paramount.

In order for you to understand your treatment options, we present videos and other visual aids and answer any questions you may have. We always give you options and discuss the pros and cons of each treatment modality along with the associated financial investment. Once you have chosen from the options we have presented, we set up appointments to begin the process.

ARE ALL PROCEDURES DONE IN YOUR OFFICE?

At Weierbach & Genetti Prosthodontics, one of our core beliefs is to always do what is best for our patients. We strive to provide the highest level of dentistry, and it is common for our patients to receive every component of patient care at our office. However, sometimes it is imperative to work in conjunction with other dental specialists to ensure the most comprehensive care possible.

CAN I SEE BEFORE AND AFTER PICTURES OF PATIENTS YOU HAVE TREATED?

Absolutely. Please go to the before and after gallery on our home page and check out the results of our patients who have so kindly let us share their photographs with you. Take advantage of the videos and listen to our patient experiences regarding various procedures, such as smile makeovers, porcelain crowns, laminates, dental implants, teeth whitening, dentures, and full mouth reconstruction. At your consultation appointment, we can show you additional before and after pictures that closely resemble the types of treatment you are considering.

HOW LONG DOES A FULL MOUTH RECONSTRUCTION TAKE?

Good question. The truth is that it depends on each patient and their unique situation. It usually takes several months and up to a year to complete the steps in a full mouth reconstruction. The timetable depends on the specific procedures and treatments involved.

A well-executed reconstruction is not something we rush through. (If you are looking for a quick fix, we are not the office for you!) If, however, you are interested in a practice that spends time listening to you, collaborates with you, helps educate you about your condition, gives treatment options, and efficiently provides the utmost care in a comfortable and caring environment, give us a call and set up the first visit today.

SOUNDS LIKE A CONSIDERABLE FINANCIAL COMMITMENT—ARE PAYMENT OPTIONS AVAILABLE?

Yes! Our mission is to work with you to find a treatment that is affordable and then provides you with several payment options. We work with your insurance company as well as offer Lending Tree financing and several options for in-house payment arrangements. We realize this is a significant investment. Sherry, our financial arrangement specialist, is an expert in helping navigate dental insurance benefits, explaining all financing options available, and ensuring you get the care you need.
